A Life of Service

A life Of Service The amazing Zig Ziglar once said, “You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help other people get what they want.” Live a life of service to others and you will never feel alone, defeated or unsuccessful. Ahhhhhhh, what a feeling, what an accomplishment, what a fantastic Goal .Do you agree? I certainly do which is why I’m forever going through clothes, shoes, and other not so fun for me anymore gadgets. They say ones trash is another’s treasure and I have found thisto be very true so I have no problem sending my used items off to others who may find pleasure and fashion in them. Giving out clothes, providing community service hours, or even cleaning may not be your thing however there are soooooo many ways to provide live a life of service, starting with a simple smile. Have you ever been somewhere and smiled at someone who was not smiling yet they did when they saw yours? ….Or better yet, have you ever made someone laugh and

6 Ways to Care for your Feet....Front and Bottom. 1. Wash your feet in warm, not hot, water. Do not soak your feet because your skin will get dry. 2. Before bathing or showering, test the water to make sure it is not too hot. You can use a thermometer (90° to 95° F is safe) or your elbow to test the water. 3. Use talcum powder or cornstarch to keep the skin between your toes dry to prevent infection. 4. Rub a thin coat of lotion, cream, or petroleum jelly on the tops and bottoms of your feet. 5. Do not put lotion or cream between your toes because this might cause an infection. 6. Do not use razor blades, corn plasters, or liquid corn and callus removers - they can damage your skin and cause an infection. Now Watch your Step! Lala

The Placebo Effect

The Placebo Treatment One of the most common theories is that the placebo effect is due to a person's expectations Placebo A simulated or otherwise medically ineffectual treatment for a disease or other medical condition intended to deceive the recipient. Sometimes a person can have a response to a placebo. The response can be positive or negative. For instance, the person's symptoms may improve. Or the person may have what appears to be side effects from the treatment. These responses are known as the "placebo effect." There are some conditions in which a placebo can produce results even when people know they are taking a placebo. Studies show that placebos can have an effect on conditions such as: -Depression -Pain -Sleep disorders -Irritable bowel syndrome -Menopause If a person expects a pill to do something, then it's possible that the body's own chemistry can cause effects similar to what a medication might have caused. Told you So-Intuition

I ntuition Intuition is using your ‘gut feeling’ about possible courses of action. Although people talk about it as if it was a magical ‘sense’, intuition is actually a combination of past experience and your personal values. It is worth taking your intuition into account, because it reflects your learning about life. Develop your own path in life based on what you feel and believe is right or as some would put it 'GO WITH YOUR GUT' Intuition is valuable because its allows you to walk your own journey and make decisions based on your choices. Always think for yourself, and enjoy life based upon the fact that you're moving toward the fulfillment of your own dreams.  Sincerely,  Lala

It's Cinco de Mayo! ....The Reason behind the Celebration.

People have this misconception that Cinco de Mayo is a celebration of Mexico's Independence Day, but the fact remains that Mexicans celebrate their day of independence on September 16.  It doesn't take much for us Americans to get a party started for an occasion and today is just one of those days.  *Takes a Sip* While you and the crew are sipping margaritas take some time out and review some facts about the Real meaning behind Cinco De Mayo.  1. The festival is actually more widely celebrated in the United States than in Mexico. In 1862, when the Mexicans defeated the French force in the Battle of Puebla, the Civil War in the USA gathered intensity. Caught between both the conflicts, Mexicans in the USA started calling the victory in Puebla as their own victory. And since then, several Cinco de Mayo traditions, such as parades, Mariachi music performances and street festivals, were held in cities and towns across Mexico and the USA. 2. The largest Cinco

Self Employment: Let's make financial cents.

Today I decided to gather some really cool ideas together for those of you who often consider working for yourself. Searching the net can lead you to thousands of ideas which can get overwhelming. It’s best to just think of something that you really enjoy doing or something that you already know how to do. Being creative with your ideas is what’s going to lead you to success. Local Tour Consultant If you have a love for local history, becoming a local tour consultant might be your perfect business idea. You can start off by simply offering walking tours of your city or specific history regions within your city. You’ll need to contact your local city offices to make sure there are no laws or regulations that would interfere. However, if you’re good to go, the only thing you need to get started is a website with your tour information and some local word of mouth to start your first tours. Ocala Things to Do! The Month Of May 2016

If you live in Ocala you know the term “ SloCala ” mainly comes from there being absolutely nothing to do.  A lot of times you’ll find the locals leave to visit Orlando, Gainesville, Tampa St. Pete and other surrounding areas just to have a good time. Traveling to these areas can be an expense to some and for others they’d just rather not have to drive 45 minutes to an hour just to have fun. With this, I have done some research and complied some pretty cool things to check out for the month of May. You may be surprise to learn that some of the same locations we have always been familiar with now host events for ALL to enjoy! I only visited a few websites to gather my information so if you are hosting an event or know of something good coming up for everyone to attend please comment or email me at showoff82@gmail.com and fill me in! Who knows,…….I may come home! LOL College of Central Florida Jazz Ensemble The College of Central Florida Jazz Ensemble will perform with h

You're probably like "HUH" lol. Some attorneys use large panels of online mock jurors to get feedback on their cases before they go to trial. However, the mock jurors must live in the county or federal district where the case will be tried. You can sign up at a couple of sites and receive e-mail notifications if a case is posted in your area. Ejury.com pays $5 to $10 per case via the online payment system PayPal. You can't be an attorney, paralegal or legal assistant – or even related to an attorney – to participate. The average case takes about 35 minutes to review. At Onlineverd

My New Orleans Trip-The French Quarter Aftermath

WooooooHooooo! It took a few days but I was finally able to post pics from my latest trip...blame it on the HAND GRENADES. New Orleans was a cool place to visit and the people, AH, the people are so country and nice. I really enjoyed listening to the way the locals talked ya'll. Lol. We got here on a Wednesday but it felt like a Friday due to the crowd. If you make the decision to go during a festival get ready to get down with the get down. Anyway, check out my trip and laugh out loud at what a Florida Gal thought of Louisiana.  Florida visits Louisiana! Of course we stopped by the Federal Reserve building. We LOVE Money! The security guard was like "Ya'll come on In" Chicken wings and Alligator......Baby the food was delicious. MULATE's is where we ate at.  Po'Boy this, Po' Boy that. He had to get him one. This was a steak burger that he couldn't finish.  I wasn't leaving New Orleans without some Red Beans an
