My Time Capsule

Living the good life can mean different things to different people. My life is basic and I enjoy the simple things that make me smile. Being happy is striving towards my personal goals and appreciating the people that I love the most. I began my days with a thankful prayer to God for waking me up and starting me on a new day. I have things that I enjoy doing to optimize my everyday experiences such as reading, writing and listening to music. These are all habits of mine that I enjoy using and doing to optimize my life experiences. I live by core values of being ethical, open minded and respectful of everyone I meet. I believe everyone should get the most out of life by devoting their self to someone or something that gives them meaning and purpose.      Most people lives are made up of moments that they never want to forget. Some people spend their time searching for people, love and companionship while others, focus on the material things in life.  My day to day walk thr

Lesson learned….$53 Million dollars later.

I’m not surprised at all!!!! You think you know the person but then you really don’t. The folks in this town  didn't  find it necessary for Mrs. Rita to "little oversight"….they felt like after all those years of service she  couldn't  possibly be stealing from them…..WRONG! She stole more than 50 million dollars so that she could live a lavish lifestyle…sounds familiar huh. What happened to service over self “out the window*. I hope this situation opens the eyes of these small towns to do better and stop trusting folks because there family was well-known in the area or because there dad was a close friend of the sheriff….Who cares! Lesson learned….$53 Million dollars later. To see Mrs. Rita, visit  http://www.saukvalley.com/ Rita Crundwell entered the plea Wednesday in Rockford federal court. Is Reading really that important?

We all know that reading is fundamental although many of us really don’t like to do it. Why Not? Reading is one of the best hobbies a person can have. But it’s saddening to know that majority of us aren’t introduced to the fabulous world of books. If you are one of the non-book readers who feels you “don’t need no stinking books”, here are some reasons to start the habit…before you are left behind! 1.     Reading is an active mental process : Unlike sitting in front of the idiot box (TV), reading makes you use your brain. While reading you would be forced to reason out many things which are unfamiliar to you. In this process you would use the grey cells of your brain to think and become smarter. 2.     Reading improves your vocabulary : Remember in elementary school when you learned how to infer the meaning of one word by reading the context of the other words in the sentence?
