The Holidays are Here!!! Let's Toast it Up.....I've decided to post a few of the most delicious (in my opinion) holiday drinks that are sure to get everyone in the spirit early! Wine Champagne Bourbon Cocktail Ingredients 1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup water 1/2 vanilla bean, split and seeds scraped Bourbon (recommended: Woodford Reserve) Prosecco or sparkling wine, chilled Directions Combine the sugar, water, bean and seeds in small pot. Bring to a boil over medium heat and cook until the sugar is dissolved. Let cool to room temperature, then discard the vanilla bean. Add 1 shot of bourbon and 2 tablespoons vanilla bean syrup to a chilled champagne flute. The unidentified father of Sydney, Australia, sold his car last week. The $15,000 in revenue   was supposed to be spent on his mortgage payment and other expenses, according to the Australian news media.   Opting not to squirrel away with the loot in a mattress or bury it in his backyard, he decided to hide the cash in his oven, which is rarely used. It turns out, his wife decided to use the oven that day. She preheated the oven to warm up chicken nuggets for her two children and, yes, she cooked the cash in the process. "It was everything we had," he told the news media. "I have nothing in my name. That money had to go to my mortgage."
