Who are you to IGNORE Me?

The Biggest Hiring Mistake You Can Make
Growing companies tend to be inundated with job applications. Sure, its pain to respond to everyone, but Inc.com columnist Jeff Haden says you are making a big mistake if you don't. Here's why:

Its disrespectful to potential employees: People pay your business the highest compliments of all by saying they would like to work for you; after all, it means they would like to spend more time with you than their families. Why is it OK for you to ignore them?

It's terrible PR: Job applicants are often excited about your business, and they tend to share that enthusiasm with friends. If you don't respond, they won't complain to you--but they will certainly complain about you.

Sidenote:We all know how frustrating it is to search for jobs... especially when we need one like yesterday! Back in the day we could easily show our initiative to become employed by waking up early, dressing up and being at the front door with resume and cover letter in hand. Consequently things have changed!
There are now electronic systems that determine how far your resume will go (Look it up). Keywords are becoming the determining factor when submitting resumes (ex. Degrees, adjectives, statistics).

The lady that you use to give your resume/application to in hopes of her turning it in to Human Resources is MISSING...

Be aware of the changes within the workforce....everything important is not always in BOLD print nor is it always the HEADLINE.

Black History Month for ALL to Enjoy

So as we head towards the end of Black History Month, I decided to provide some insight on those we may not have learned about in school. LESSON! I randomly selected the Super Stars below to help me Show Off this week. Some of us put so many barriers up in Life that prevents us from accomplishing our goals. I'm Sleepy, I just got off work, and I'm tired are just few of the familiar phrases we often hear and say. I'm almost positive that those before us would laugh at the excuses we make so we can just chill. The Good news is that it's never too late for a Fresh New start. I hope the people below will inspire you to see that anything is possible with consistency, dedication and motivation. *Copy and Paste the Links below to your browser for more info  Ballerina    Michaela DePrince From:  A Remote orphanage in Sierra Leone “Who would want to adopt a girl who looks like you?” The orphanage staff would tell her. http://blackgirllonghair.com/2015/08/micha...

Ocklawaha, Florida *Historian Criminals*

Ma and Fred Barker Ma Barker 1 3254 E Ocklawaha Highway, Ocklawaha, Fla . Ma Barker was fresh off a string of high-profile robberies throughout the Midwest when she and her son Fred headed down to  to hide out. The two posed as a couple needing a vacation rental, but the FBI caught wind of the Most Wanted woman's plans and surprised the Barkers with a 7:15 a.m. shootout. The five-hour melee killed both Ma and her son, and the  volley of bullet holes left behind are still visible  in the 4-bed, 2-bath home today. Much of the home, actually, is frozen in time from the 1935 shooting. Still owned by the family who once rented the place to the Barkers, the property recently . Gator Joe's Beach Bar and Grill in Ocklawaha (est. 1926) , Florida was named after a large alligator that lived in Lake Weir. The FBI killed Fred and Ma Barker in Ocklawaha, Florida (Marion County), after the FBI discovered "Ma" by tracking letters she sent to her othe...
